Getting Started on Seeking
How do I edit my profile?
On the Seeking website
- Click on your username/thumbnail in the top-right corner
- Select ‘Edit profile’
In the Seeking app
- Tap the ‘More’ option at the bottom-right corner of the app
- Select ‘Edit profile’
The Edit Profile screen allows members to:
- Add or delete photos
- Update your profile heading
- Set your primary location
- Add secondary and other locations (upgraded Seeking members only)
- Update factual information
- Update the “Tell us a bit about yourself” section
- Update the “What I am looking for” section
- Change which genders appear in search and dashboard
- Update your age preferences
- Add, update, or delete Seeking tags
- Add verifications
Please note that some profile edits may take a little time to appear as they go through the moderation process.

How do I change the gender of who I’m interested in?
To edit your gender preferences you will need to edit your profile.
On the Seeking website
- Click your picture in the upper-right corner
- Select ‘Edit profile’
- Scroll down and click the section labeled ‘Who are you interested in?’
In the Seeking app
- Tap ‘More’ in the bottom-right corner
- Select ‘Edit profile’
- Scroll down and tap the section labeled ‘Who are you interested in?’
Here you will be able to choose ‘Male‘, ‘Female‘, or ‘Everyone‘.
Will a member I blocked be able to view my profile or message me?
No. Once you have blocked someone, that person will not be able to interact with your profile in any way.
Blocked profiles cannot:
- View your profile
- Message you
- See your profile in search results
Where is the Seeking iOS App?
Seeking is currently unavailable on the iOS App Store.
However, the complete app experience is still available to all iPhone users using our Progressive Web App (PWA). The Seeking PWA provides an app-like experience directly on your iPhone, including real-time messaging and notifications.
I’m a member attending college. Can I receive a free Gold membership?
